Kumihimo (10)
Kumihimo is the ancient Japanese art of braiding. Kumihimo was first created as a form of finger-loop braiding. The most prominent historical use of the cords was by Japanese Samurai as both a functional and decorative way to lace their armour and their horses’ armor.
Today Kumihimo braiding is used in a variety of different ways. It can be used to create colourful necklaces and bracelets, or for decorative additions to clothing and even as a highlight on a quilt or cushion.
Combine your Satin rattail with a Kumihimo Disk (available in 2 sizes) and use your imagination to create your own unique styles and patterns. No Tangle cord bobbins will help to prevent tangles and are also ideal for storing your Macrame and Micro-Macrame threads.
