To secure the studs fold the prongs inwards and use the back of a pair of pliers or similar to firmly fold down the prongs. These Studs can also be used to embellish fabric, leather and other materials. They can be used as a rivet to attach multiple layers of filigree metal together when the filigree pieces have enough holes to accomodate the prongs of the stud.
