Magnesite (38)
Magnesite is also known as Synthetic or Simulated Turquoise. Magnesite is a mineral (magnesium carbonate) that has the same crystal structure as calcite and belongs to the calcite group of minerals. Magnesite beads are often enhanced (or coloured) due to the porosity of the crystal structure. Magnesite beads are highlighted by the veins that are a dominant feature in Magnesite and give the appearance of turquoise.
